Employer Brand & Internal Communication Intern
An internship designed for growth
Internships are more than a temporary role. They provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build professional relationships and explore potential career paths. At LocumTenens.com, the internship program is designed to provide meaningful work, mentorship and opportunities for personal and professional development.
Interns are encouraged to contribute to real projects that support business goals while learning from experienced professionals across the organization. Through networking events, professional development sessions, team collaboration and mentorship opportunities, interns gain exposure to different aspects of the healthcare staffing industry, developing skills that will take them throughout their careers.
The culture at LocumTenens.com is guided by three core pillars: others first, wisdom and growth. Whether collaborating with teammates, learning from mentors or taking on new challenges, interns are encouraged to put others first, seek knowledge and understanding and continuously grow, both personally and professionally. These values create an environment where interns feel empowered to ask questions, share ideas and take ownership of their work while developing the skills and confidence needed for future success.
As an employer brand and internal communications intern in the marketing department, I had the opportunity to contribute to projects that help connect employees, support company initiatives and strengthen internal communication efforts. One of the most rewarding aspects of my internship has been seeing how communication plays a vital role in creating an engaged and informed workplace.
A highlight of my internship has been working alongside fellow interns and professionals across the organization. Learning about different departments and collaborating with individuals from various backgrounds has allowed me to gain new perspectives, strengthen my communication skills and contribute to purposeful projects. These experiences have helped me grow both professionally and personally while gaining a deeper understanding of the importance of teamwork.
Another highlight has been helping plan our At Your Service community service initiative. Through this project, I had the opportunity to explore volunteer opportunities and work with fellow interns to identify an organization where we could make a positive impact beyond the workplace. It was rewarding to contribute to an initiative that reflected LocumTenens.com’s commitment to serving others and giving back to the community.
What has stood out most about my internship is the supportive culture. From mentor guidance to collaboration with fellow interns, I have consistently felt encouraged to learn, ask questions and take on new challenges. This experience has strengthened my passion for marketing and communications while providing valuable skills, meaningful relationships and lessons I will carry throughout my future career.

What attracted you to the internship program at LocumTenens.com?
“Originally, I had heard about LT from a friend who works here, and she had nothing but good things to say about the company and its culture. That’s what initially drew me to apply for a summer internship here. After I did more research on the company, its mission, and its values, I decided to submit an application. Throughout the interview process, everyone was kind and genuinely interested in my experience and how it could fit well into their teams for the summer. Because of the positive interactions, I believe LT was the right fit for me to learn and feel welcomed, and so far, it’s been everything I thought it would be and more.”

What advice would you give to future interns?
“My advice to future interns would be to ask questions and take initiative. There really are no bad questions. We’re here to absorb as much information as we can and learn from the people around us. I’m only in my third week of the internship, so I’m still new myself, but one thing I’ve learned is how valuable it is to get to know the different roles and teams here at LocumTenens.com. Internships are a great opportunity to figure out what you enjoy, what you don’t, and even discover career paths that you may not have considered before. LocumTenens.com has an amazing work culture, and everyone genuinely wants to help make this experience the best it can be. So, don’t be afraid to put yourself out there to get the most out of this experience.”
